Participate in our Buddy Program!
One of UMCH’s objectives is to enable all students to have a pleasant and trouble-free time while studying. In order to ensure this, every year we look for motivated students who are interested in taking part in the UMCH Buddy Program, helping freshmen with advice and support – especially in the early stages.
From finding your way around our campus to problems with the structure of your studies and timetables to questions like “Where can I best enjoy an after-work beer in Hamburg” or “Which sightseeing tour is particularly recommended?” No matter what it is: The UMCH buddies are there for you and will help you with all kinds of matters. In addition, the program offers a wide range of activities around Hamburg, which will help you get started in student life and will be a lot of fun.

In addition to answering questions about studying and providing support in everyday university life, the program focuses on the organization of the welcome and enrollment days. During these days, you will support the new students in your function as a buddy in finding their way around the UMCH campus, conduct workshops and organize pub crawls as well as the first semester party.
