Lecture: „Evolution of Colo-Rectal Surgery – Current Status and Perspectives for the Future” (Lecture language: English)
On March 25, 2022, we welcome Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Dirk Jentschura at the campus in Hamburg. The event functions as the inaugural lecture for the former Medical Director and Chief Physician of the Clinic for General and Visceral Surgery of the UMFST-UMCH Teaching Hospital Deaconess Foundation Hospital Speyer.
The topic of the lecture is both the development of colorectal surgery, which includes operations on the colon and rectum, and the current state of research in this field. It will focus on the latest technical possibilities as well as developments in the treatment of potential diseases, such as colon cancer, over the past three decades. Dr. Jentschura, who will receive an official certificate from the Dean Assoc. Prof. Simona Muresan, MD, PhD attesting him the title of “Honorary Professor”, is an expert in this field and will provide exciting insights into the field of colorectal surgery during his lecture.
The career of Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Dirk Jentschura, who already held a ReachHigher lecture for the students last year, began in 1985 as a resident in internal surgery. Today, he can look back on more than 35 years of professional experience and works as an independent surgeon.
