On March 15, 2023, a presentation of Augmented Reality technology was held in the UMCH Lounge. This technology can be used, among other applications, to simulate clinical examination of patients. For this purpose, Assoc. Prof. Cristian Boeriu and Lecturer Sorana Truță presented several cases that allowed groups of several students to practice the use of the technology as well as handling patients during two sessions at noon and late afternoon of the day, respectively.
The UMFST-UMCH campus in Hamburg is equipped with several Microsoft HoloLens 2 augmented reality glasses, which allow users to see holograms of patients and associated data in the physical space in front of them, which they can use to practice actual cases in the secure room. These cases change depending on choices made by selecting different control elements, which are also projected onto the glasses so that they appear in the room in front of oneself.
