As a medical university, we see it as our duty to instill a strong sense of responsibility in our students, as well as an awareness of the necessity and urgency of blood donation, as they all embark on careers in the medical field. This initiative set an outstanding example at UMCH. Many students took part in the recent campaign, including several first-time donors.

The success of the last blood donation campaign serves as motivation for the next opportunity to do good: On October 27, 2025, the DRK will once again host a blood donation drive in the UMCH cafeteria. Students will have the chance to participate once more and potentially save lives. The organizers hope that even more students will take part, further highlighting the importance of blood donation.

UMCH and the DRK invite all students to get involved – for a healthier future! Every drop counts, every donation helps – and together, we can make a real difference.

Get the best possible start to your medical studies! The Intensive Course runs from February 2 to April 26, 2026 and provides you with solid knowledge in key foundation subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biochemistry, Anatomy, and Medical Theory.

In addition, the course offers targeted preparation for the admission process as well as individual guidance to strengthen your skills and get you ready for the demands of medical school.

You can choose to join us on-site at our Hamburg campus or online from home – whatever suits you best.
