Education Without Borders – UMFST-UMCH the European Model of Medical Training
UMFST "George Emil Palade" Târgu Mureș and UMFST-UMCH Hamburg presented in Berlin an inspiring example of European excellence in medical education.
As part of the celebrations marking the 145th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Romania and Germany, the Romanian Embassy in Berlin hosted an event highlighting the close partnership between the two countries in the field of medical education.

Under the patronage of Her Excellency Ambassador Adriana-Loreta Stănescu, the vision of UMFST was presented — an education that unites scientific excellence with compassion and ethics.
Rector Prof. Dr. Leonard Azamfirei emphasized:
"Knowledge without compassion is sterile, innovation without ethics is dangerous – science only becomes truly valuable when it serves humanity."
With more than 13,000 students from 90 countries, programs in three languages, and a strong digital infrastructure, the university sets new European standards. The UMFST-UMCH Hamburg campus stands as a symbol of internationalization, quality, and responsibility.
UMFT-UMCH Hamburg – Medical Education on a European Level
Prof. Dr. Simona Mureșan presented UMFST-UMCH's modern curriculum, which combines theory and practice in a uniquely effective way. Between 5,800 hours of coursework ensure a balanced mix of theoretical and clinical training.
At the heart of this model lies clinical rotation – students gain hands-on experience at the patient's bedside early in their studies, within a network of leading teaching hospitals.
Hon. Prof. Dr. Christopher Musmann, Director of the UMCH Campus, highlighted:

With the upcoming "George Emil Palade Smart Hospital," set to open in 2026, the university is setting new benchmarks for modern healthcare.
