As the year comes to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and all the very best for the New Year. We hope you enjoy a wonderful holiday season and start 2026 in good health, with confidence and optimism. What an Outstanding Year – Welcome, 2026! The year ahead stands for growth, diversity, and excellence. Our campus is now home to more than 850 students from over 50 nations, making UMFST-UMCH a truly international academic community and a vibrant hub for future physicians.

A Historic Milestone: Our First Graduates
One of the highlights of the year was the graduation of the first 74 students of UMCH – University Medicine Hamburg, Germany’s first English-language medical university. They were honored during a festive graduation ceremony at the Grand Elysée Hotel in Hamburg. We are especially proud that a number of our graduates have already started their specialist training (residency) at our teaching hospitals. All graduates successfully obtained their German medical license (Approbation) without any difficulty, underlining the high quality, recognition, and practical relevance of our medical education.

UMFST-UMCH Receives the German Medical Award 2025
We are especially proud that UMFST-UMCH Campus Hamburg has been awarded the German Medical Award 2025 for outstanding health communication. The jury recognized the university’s exemplary nationwide network of more than 30 teaching hospitals and over 100 teaching practices, all of which play a vital role in the clinical education of our students. From the third year of study onward, students spend several weeks each year in clinical settings and are actively integrated into everyday medical practice. This award honors not only the university, but also the commitment and dedication of our teaching hospitals, teaching practices, coordinators, teachers, and academic partners.
