New Teaching Hospital: Agaplesion Bethesda Hospital

Hamburg/Wuppertal. The Agaplesion Bethesda Hospital Wuppertal is an Academic Teaching Hospital of Ruhr University Bochum and now also a new teaching hospital for the Hamburger Campus of the University Medicine Neumarkt (UMFST-UMCH). The clinic is taking another innovative step in recruiting qualified young professionals: Campus students can now complete their practical phases in Wuppertal.

"For us, this cooperation means the early integration of excellently trained students into our clinic processes," confirms hospital manager Norman Westphal. Additionally, the clinic now has another opportunity to practically train and recruit highly qualified medical professionals.

UMFST-UMCH students in Wuppertal will find a wide range of specialties and disciplines where they can undergo their clinical-practical training from the third year of their studies: Agaplesion Bethesda Hospital Wuppertal includes a Neurocardiovascular Center, a center for minimally invasive and outpatient gynecology, as well as clinics for general, visceral, and vascular surgery, angiology and interventional vascular medicine, trauma surgery, orthopedic surgery, and hand surgery with a Regional Trauma Center and certified Endoprosthesis Center, neurology with a certified Stroke Unit, neurosurgery, internal medicine with cardiology, pulmonary medicine, and sleep medicine, gynecology and obstetrics with a certified Breast Center, radiology and neuroradiology, as well as anesthesiology and intensive care medicine.
