Hei UMFST-UMCH! – A Warm Welcome to the Norwegian Ambassador

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, UMCH had the great honor of welcoming H.E. Mrs. Laila Stenseng, the Norwegian Ambassador to Germany, to its campus. This significant visit highlighted the close and long-standing relationship between the Kingdom of Norway and UMFST-UMCH and provided a unique opportunity for Norwegian students to connect personally with their country’s official representative.

The visit began with a Words of Greeting by H.E. Mrs. Laila Stenseng in the auditorium. In her remarks, the Ambassador warmly welcomed UMCH’s first-year medical students, marking the start of their very first Biochemistry class – a symbolic milestone at the beginning of their academic journey. Her inspiring words emphasized the importance of education, international collaboration, and the pivotal role future doctors will play in shaping global healthcare.

Following the greeting, Norwegian students were invited to an exclusive Meet & Greet session. This intimate gathering allowed students to share their experiences, ask questions, and engage in direct dialogue with the Ambassador. The session highlighted the strong community spirit at UMCH and celebrated the diversity of its student body.

As part of the program, the Ambassador also participated in a guided campus tour, visiting several laboratory spaces, where she gained insights into UMFST-UMCH’s modern teaching facilities and innovative learning environment.
