UMFST-UMCH Opens the Academic Year 2025/26

Hamburg, September 19, 2025 – On September 22, 2025, UMFST-UMCH will officially kick off the new academic year 2025/26.
We are delighted to welcome numerous new students from around the world to our campus. For them, this moment marks not only the beginning of a new chapter in their lives but also the start of friendships and collaborations that transcend borders and cultures.

With the arrival of this new cohort, our community will grow to over 850 students representing more than 50 nations. This makes UMFST-UMCH one of the most international medical universities in Germany.
“This diversity equips our students with the skills needed to face the challenges of a globalized healthcare environment,” emphasizes Campus Director Hon. Prof. Christopher Musmann.

Welcome Days – A Perfect Start

To ensure a smooth start to their studies, first-year students can look forward to a diverse Welcome Week. Alongside important orientation sessions, there will be plenty of exciting highlights, including:

• Festive welcome events to meet fellow students and make new connections,

• and, as the grand finale on September 23, a boat party on the Elbe River, offering a unique experience of Hamburg’s maritime charm.
