Lecture: “Current Treatment Options After Cardiac Arrest” (Lecture Language: English)

On October 27, 2022, we welcome Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Michael Fries at UMFST-UMCH. In an edition of our ReachHigher lecture series, the Medical Director and Chief Physician of the Department of Anesthesiology and Surgical Intensive Care Medicine at the UMFST-UMCH Teaching Hospital in Limburg, St. Vincenz Hospital, will speak on the topic of “Treatment Options After Cardiac Arrest After Cardiac Arrest”.

The human heart continuously supplies organs and tissue with blood – and thus with vital oxygen and nutrients. If it stops beating and the blood circulation is interrupted as a result, a person dies within a few minutes. In Germany, more than 65,000 people die of sudden cardiac death every year. To prevent the death of patients with a heart condition, there are various treatment methods. Dr. Fries will discuss these in detail in his ReachHigher lecture.
