The University Targu Mures Medical Campus Hamburg (UMCH) has a new teaching hospital – the St. Josef Hospital in Moers. This is UMCH’s third teaching hospital in addition to the Diakonissen-Foundation-Hospital Speyer and the Protestant Hospital Mettmann.
The traditional clinic was founded as early as 1908 and, thanks to its many years of partnership with the St. Bernhard Hospital nursing school in Kamp-Lintfort, has already gained a great deal of experience as an educational institution. In addition, the hospital in Moers comprises more than 10 specialist areas – including anesthesia, neurology, rheumatology, cardiology and nuclear medicine. The clinic thus offers ideal conditions for UMCH’s students to apply the knowledge they have learned in Hamburg. From the third academic year onwards, they can practice practical contact with patients there.
The contract was signed with Dr. Vogt, Prof. Dr. Reimann and Prof. Dr. Isenmann at the campus in Hamburg following the ceremonial campus opening on September 30th. We are looking forward to a positive cooperation in the coming years.
