Elsevier online library accessible to UMCH students

In addition to the existing online resource ANELISPLUS, which – among other sources – provides access to SpringerLink Journals, Scopus and Cambridge Journals, UMCH students can now also use Elsevier’s digital library ClinicalKey Student. It provides them with digital English-language specialist literature that is perfectly tailored to international medical students and corresponds to the curricula of the preclinical and clinical subjects at UMCH.

The ClinicalKey Student database contains hundreds of renowned textbooks from all medical fields. Additionally, students have access to a huge selection of videos, images and abstracts that present complex medical issues in an understandable way. These study materials are a useful supplement to the university’s own materials, which are available to students for optimal preparation for the exams at UMCH. By providing additional sources, students are given a particularly broad picture of scientific facts and learn about different perspectives on individual topics. In addition, this gives students the opportunity to pursue further education independently and in a complementary manner – in precisely those areas that interest them most personally and correlate with the specialist area they wish to pursue later. Another major advantage of Elsevier’s online library compared to working with physical publications is that all publications are automatically updated to the latest editions every six months.

The scientific publications, which are accessible via ClinicalKey Student, are available to UMCH students as e-books in EPUB or PDF format. They can be read both online and offline on an e-reader, tablet, smartphone or computer – whether directly at the UMCH campus, on the road or at home. This allows students to learn wherever and whenever they want. In addition, tiresome waiting times or loan periods are eliminated this way.
