Recently, a scientific research grant was awarded to an undergraduate student at the UMFST-UMCH Campus in Hamburg. Julika Tan, who is in her fourth year of study, was awarded a Junior Researcher Academy Grant in the Involved Level Competition entitled “Mental Stress Induced Oxidative Stress Among Young People – Mechanisms, Biomarkers, Risks and Quantification Methods”. The work was scientifically supervised by her tutor, Lecturer Amalia Puscas, who is a teacher at the Biochemistry Department of UMFST-UMCH. Julika Tan will thus represent the Hamburg campus at the international scientific congress Marisiensis, which will be hosted once again by the UMFST in Targu Mures. Here, she will again be supported by Lecturer Amalia Puscas. In addition, she will participate in a scientific event at this year’s UMFST-UMCH Days as a representative of the research-enthusiastic students of the Hamburg campus. The goal of the project is to have an in extenso article published by Julika Tan as the lead author under the scientific coordination of Lecturer Amalia Puscas.
