UMFST-UMCH Days 2023 – MedQuizz Marathon

In addition to the various scientific workshops offered for the first time as part of UMFST-UMCH Days 2023, the MedQuizz Marathon student competition also took place for the first time this year. The competition, which was launched on student co-initiative, challenged the participants’ medical knowledge and offered them the opportunity to compete with other students.

The competition started on May 5, following the Opening Ceremony of the UMFST-UMCH Days. For this purpose, several teams, formed especially for this purpose, gathered in the auditorium. Prof. Amelia Tero-Vescan was the main organizer and moderator of the event. In addition, UMFST-UMCH teachers Assoc. Prof. Eva Kiss, Assoc. Prof. Andrada Loghin, Lecturer Ancuta Zazgyva, Assist. Horatiu Sabau and Assist Ioan Balmos were present to act as judges both days. During the first round, several teams were eliminated, leaving two teams on the second day of the University Days. Here, the team consisting of Ivan Bergo (3rd year), Jana Karlina Bitzan (3rd year), Alessandro Aust (1st year) and Moritz Graf (2nd year) prevailed and took the victory. After the event, the participants gathered for the award ceremony, where besides the winners, the runners-up were also awarded prizes.
