Biology, chemistry and physics – successful conclusion of the Pre-Medical Course

September 28, 2020

During the past few weeks, one of our medical preparatory courses, the three-week Pre-Medical Course, took place on the UMCH campus in Hamburg. Throughout the course, about 50 students were taught in the classical natural sciences biology, chemistry and physics. The prospective doctors – including some who began their studies at UMCH in the winter semester 2020/21 – used the time until the official beginning of their lectures to prepare themselves optimally for their studies of human medicine and to establish important contacts for their studies and later professional life.

Most of the participants, among whom the anticipation of the upcoming start of studies was great, were physically present on the campus in Bahrenfeld throughout the course – though some also took part in the crash course online. The integration of the future students, who participated via video stream, went smoothly, so that everyone had the same opportunity to deepen their basic scientific knowledge despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
