Hamburg/Mettmann. Prof. Dr. Christian Berg, Chief Physician of Internal Medicine at the Evangelical Hospital Mettmann, has initiated an elective course series on diabetes at UMCH University Medicine Hamburg. In the opening lecture, he spoke about the latest advancements in the medical treatment of diabetes mellitus. The topic was: “Diabetes Mellitus: Medical Therapy and Devices 2024-2025.”
The leading expert in internal medicine and diabetes care also provided a comprehensive overview of the changing landscape of diabetes management. He highlighted groundbreaking devices and technologies that are shaping the future of diabetes treatment. Furthermore, the speaker discussed medical strategies expected in the coming years.
Prof. Dr. Berg designed the elective course at UMCH specifically for the 6th year of studies. The Evangelical Hospital Mettmann has been a partner hospital of UMCH since 2019.
“For me, it is a given to be involved not only in bedside training but also in teaching,” said Prof. Dr. Berg.
