UMFST "George Emil Palade" Târgu Mureș and UMFST-UMCH Hamburg presented in Berlin an inspiring example of European excellence in medical education.
As part of the celebrations marking the 145th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Romania and Germany, the Romanian Embassy in Berlin hosted an event highlighting the close partnership between the two countries in the field of medical education.

Alumni Philipp Richter, originally from Hanover (Germany), is the first graduate of the first international cohort of medical students at UMFST-UMCH – Universitätsmedizin Neumarkt am Mieresch (the Hamburg Campus of UMFST). He has now chosen to continue with doctoral studies at UMFST in Târgu Mureş, becoming the first in his class to do so in Romania.

Our 6th-year student Julius Balkenhol has just achieved an extraordinary milestone — his first publication as first author, published in the European Journal of Cancer.
The study, titled “Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma 1986–2019 in Germany: Incidence, anatomical site, staging, and histologic subtypes,” sheds light on an important topic in dermatologic oncology:
