The year ahead stands for growth, diversity, and excellence. Our campus is now home to more than 850 students from over 50 nations, making UMFST-UMCH a truly international academic community and a vibrant hub for future physicians.

With the elective course Medicine of Sexuality, UMFST-UMCH expands its academic offering to include an important and sensitive field of modern medicine. The course provides students with a solid understanding of sexual health and prepares them to address sexual-medicine-related issues in a competent, empathetic, and evidence-based manner in clinical practice.

The elective course Clinical Anatomy at UMFST-UMCH offers students a valuable opportunity to deepen and refine the anatomical knowledge acquired during the first three semesters of the anatomy curriculum, with a strong focus on clinical relevance.Throughout the course, students review and consolidate core anatomical concepts while learning how to apply this knowledge effectively in medical practice.

The Neuroscience Society Club at UMFST-UMCH Hamburg recently hosted an outstanding Reach Higher Lecture featuring Prof. Dr. Monika Pötter-Nerger from University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). Her talk, entitled
“Electrifying! Insights into Parkinson’s Disease from Deep Brain Stimulation,” attracted great interest and enthusiasm among students and guests alike.

UMFST-UMCH students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a completely new dimension of learning - and to reconnect with one of our distinguished alumni. We were delighted to welcome Tabea van Hauten, Doctor medic, back to campus for not just one, but two inspiring events.

UMFST "George Emil Palade" Târgu Mureș and UMFST-UMCH Hamburg presented in Berlin an inspiring example of European excellence in medical education.
As part of the celebrations marking the 145th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Romania and Germany, the Romanian Embassy in Berlin hosted an event highlighting the close partnership between the two countries in the field of medical education.

Alumni Philipp Richter, originally from Hanover (Germany), is the first graduate of the first international cohort of medical students at UMFST-UMCH – Universitätsmedizin Neumarkt am Mieresch (the Hamburg Campus of UMFST). He has now chosen to continue with doctoral studies at UMFST in Târgu Mureş, becoming the first in his class to do so in Romania.
