UMFST-UMCH Days 2023 – Teaching Hospital Fair

Following the opening ceremony of the UMFST-UMCH Days 2023, a Teaching Hospital Fair was held for the students of the Hamburg campus on the afternoon of May 5. For this purpose, representatives of a majority of the different institutions from the extensive UMFST-UMCH Teaching Hospital Network travelled to the fair.

At booths as well as in short, concise presentations – so-called Med Talks – the students had the opportunity to learn about the conditions and diverse advantages of the individual teaching hospitals and to find out which one fits their wishes and requirements particularly well. Many of the prospective physicians of UMFST-UMCH took advantage of this opportunity, exchanging ideas with the high-ranking representatives of the partner institutions. They also had the opportunity to find out about various offerings that go beyond just bedside-teaching.

Many students also took the opportunity to exchange ideas more intensively with each other and with the teaching hospital staff in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by finger food and drinks in the UMCH Lounge. The teaching hospital staff, in turn, took the opportunity to promote their respective facilities, effectively combating their own and the national shortage of specialists.
