Hamburg is one of the largest railway hubs in Northern Europe. From Hamburg Central Station, you can take a train to Berlin, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, or Munich in just a few hours, and you can easily reach almost any other city in Germany and Europe. In addition to the Central Station, there are train connections from several other long-distance stations like Altona, Dammtor, Harburg, and Bergedorf. Long-distance buses also run from the central bus station (ZOB) located at the Central Station to a variety of national and international destinations.
You can easily reach UMFST-UMCH by public transport. The closest bus stops to the campus are Luruper Chaussee (DESY) (Lines 2, 3, X3, 284) and Trabrennbahn Bahrenfeld (Lines 1, 2, 3, X3, 284, and occasionally 286). The X3 is an Express-Bus. From Hamburg Central Station, you can reach UMFST-UMCH in about 30 minutes by S-Bahn and bus. From Altona, it takes less than 20 minutes. Buses run every 5-10 minutes during peak times.

From the City Center to UMFST-UMCH:
The drive from Hamburg's city center to UMFST-UMCH takes about 20 minutes. Parking is available on campus. Be aware that during nearby concerts or football games, parking can be difficult in the surrounding area.
Cycling from Hamburg's city center to UMFST-UMCH takes about 30 minutes. The quickest route goes through the city center via the B4 and Stresemannstraße. Hamburg boasts well-developed cycle paths, making your ride smooth and enjoyable.
UMFST-UMCH offers bicycle parking spaces on campus. For a suitable route, please use apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Komoot.
Hamburg Airport (HAM), officially known as Flughafen Hamburg „Helmut Schmidt”, is one of the most modern in Europe, with around 60 airlines, including Qatar Airways and Lufthansa, providing excellent connections to cities across Europe and the world. It serves as a hub for Eurowings, EasyJet, and Ryanair. The airport is conveniently reachable from the city center in just 25 minutes via the S1 S-Train line.
