UMFST-UMCH students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a completely new dimension of learning - and to reconnect with one of our distinguished alumni. We were delighted to welcome Tabea van Hauten, Doctor medic, back to campus for not just one, but two inspiring events.
Now part of the DocCheck team, Tabea led several workshops introducing Corpus, a mixed-reality app that is transforming traditional anatomy education. Using Meta headsets, students experienced the human body in an unprecedented interactive format - from virtual dissections to playful quiz modes.
The immersive technology offers a depth of spatial understanding that far exceeds conventional teaching methods. The verdict from first- to third-year students was unmistakable: Corpus integrates seamlessly into the classroom and provides a cutting-edge tool for learning at home as well.
Corpus brings anatomy to life - intuitively, interactively, and closer than ever before.
In addition to the workshops, UMFST-UMCH hosted an Alumni Meet & Greet, giving students the chance to discuss everything that matters as they approach the final phase of their studies:
study strategies, exam preparation, graduation expectations, and the path to professional licensure.
Drawing from her own journey, Tabea van Hauten shared practical tips, personal experiences, and plenty of encouraging insights. Whether students are stressed, excited, or somewhere in between, the event offered valuable guidance - and motivation to cross the finish line strong.
