Nardini Klinikum Zweibrücken/Landstuhl collaborates with UMCH – University of Medicine Hamburg

Zweibrücken/Landstuhl/Hamburg – The Nardini Klinikum Zweibrücken/Landstuhl has been named a new Academic Teaching Hospital of the UMCH – University of Medicine Hamburg. With this partnership, the hospital is taking another innovative step in recruiting qualified young professionals: Students from the UMCH campus will now have the opportunity to complete their practical training phases at the Zweibrücken and Landstuhl hospitals.

“This collaboration allows us to integrate exceptionally trained students into our hospital workflows at an early stage,” says Managing Director Dipl.-Kfm. Frank F. Banowitz. Additionally, the hospital gains another opportunity to provide practical training for highly qualified future physicians and potentially recruit them for its own staff. UMCH students will find a wide range of specialties and disciplines at the Nardini Klinikum Zweibrücken/Landstuhl and its partner institutions, where they can begin their clinical-practical training from their third year of study.

The Nardini Klinikum is a modern joint hospital providing specialized care with 548 beds and approximately 280 training positions across its Zweibrücken and Landstuhl locations. Its departments include anesthesiology and intensive care, vascular and visceral surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, radiology, internal medicine, orthopedics, joint surgery and sports traumatology, as well as affiliated departments for ear, nose, and throat medicine and urology. The clinic is part of a multifunctional network involving several medical care centers and maximum-care hospitals, ensuring continuous quality improvements for patients.

The Hamburg campus of the University of Medicine Neumarkt a. M. (UMCH) is the German branch of the state University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology Neumarkt a. M. (UMFST). The campus offers a high-quality medical degree program in English, with no admission restrictions, no waiting periods, and no need to relocate abroad. Located in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld, the campus provides 220 study places.
