Take a medical preparatory course to prepare yourself optimally.

Pre-medical course

Preparatory course for medical studies

Scientific and medical fundamentals

The UMCH offers a pre-degree preparatory course. It is a 3- or 12-week paid course in scientific subjects which prepares students specifically for medical studies.

Within the framework of the course, the fundamentals of biology, chemistry, and physics are revised. Moreover, the curriculum contents of the first year are anticipated by giving future medical students an introduction to human anatomy, physiology, embryology, and histology. In this way, all course participants have the opportunity to refresh and deepen their current scientific and medical knowledge and at the same time acquire new knowledge. An important part of the course is also the systematic teaching of medical terminology. Since the course is taught in English, participants automatically acquire the medical vocabulary in the international scientific language.

Experienced academic staff

The pre-medical courses are taught by internationally experienced teachers, who have experience in the teaching of students and are able to get the students excited about the fundamentals of medical studies.

Participation in the preparatory course is not an admission criterion for studying human medicine at the UMCH. For optimal preparation of the scientific fundamentals, however, it is advisable to attend the course.
