With the hospital company Katholisches Klinikum Ruhrgebiet Nord GmbH (KKRN), several more facilities join the growing list of UMFST-UMCH Teaching Hospitals. KKRN consists of St. Elisabeth Hospital in Dorsten, St. Sixtus Hospital in Haltern am See, Marien Hospital in Marl and Gertrudis Hospital in Herten-Westerholt.
The best care and human devotion: These are the foundations on which the hospital network stands – regardless of which of the four hospitals the patients are treated in.
With its four operating sites and 29 specialist medical departments, KKRN GmbH is the largest hospital company in the northern Ruhr region. Around 3,000 highly qualified employees are committed to the health and well-being of almost 33,000 inpatients and 50,000 outpatients every year. The hospital group can already look back on a wealth of experience in the training of medical specialists. For the next generation, nursing staff are trained annually at two central schools in Dorsten and Marl.
Distributed among the individual clinics, a broad spectrum of specialties and disciplines awaits UMFST-UMCH students here, in which they can complete their clinical-practical training starting in their third year of study.
