UMFST-UMCH Days 2024

The University Medical Center Neumarkt A.M. Campus Hamburg (UMCH) warmly invites you to the ceremonial opening ceremony of the UMFST-UMCH University Days 2024. The event will take place on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the UMCH Medical Campus, Albert-Einstein-Ring 11, 22761 Hamburg.

Ceremonial Opening Ceremony:

The faculty and university leadership, represented by the rector, Prof. Leonard Azamfirei, Dean Assoc. Prof. Simona Muresan, as well as campus directors Hon. Prof. Dirk Naumann and Christopher Mussmann, will provide insights into current projects and the further development of the Medicine program at the Hamburg branch during the event. Prof. Dr. med. Oliver Bruder, Medical Director of Elisabeth-Krankenhaus Essen GmbH, will deliver a welcome address as a highly esteemed representative of teaching hospitals.

Distinguished Delegation from Romania Expected:

The opening ceremony will be attended by a distinguished Romanian delegation, including Prof. Ligia Deca, Minister of Education of Romania; Prof. Gigel Paraschiv, State Secretary for Higher Education in the Ministry of Education of Romania; Diana-Loreta Păun, Advisor to the President in the Ministry of Public Health of Romania; and H.E. Adriana Stanescu, the Romanian Ambassador to Germany.

Activities for UMCH Students:

• Teaching Hospital Fair with high-ranking representatives from the extensive UMFST-UMCH teaching hospital network.
• Lecture: “Health Economics: What It Is and Why It Matters to Clinical Practice” by Prof. Alexander Carter, Executive MSc in Health Economics, Outcomes, and Management in Clinical Science at Imperial College London, UK.
• Practical-based workshops covering Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, and Psychology.
• Research Day for students.

The event concludes with a Gala Dinner at the Historic Speicherboden, followed by an after-party. We warmly invite all interested individuals to participate in the UMFST-UMCH University Days, providing an inspiring and informative experience.
