Workshop "Sexual Dysfunction and Sexual Therapy" with Dr. Patrick Debbelt

Sexual Dysfunction and Sexual Therapy (Language: German)

Spectacular crimes, especially serious sexual offenses, continue to shock society. At the same time, many people ask themselves how such crimes can occur in the first place. Movies, series and literature about crime have been very popular for a very long time, with extremely complex facts often being presented in an oversimplified way for dramaturgical reasons.

On October 15, 2021, UMCH will host a workshop titled “Sexual dysfunction and sexual therapy” under the guidance of Dr. Patrick Debbelt. He is Medical Director and Head Physician of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Hans-Prinzhorn-Clinic in Hemer – one of the many UMFST-UMCH teaching hospitals.

The workshop takes up the topic of sexual deviation in a forensic context. What is sexual deviation and at what point is it considered a disease? After a theoretical introduction, the topic will be made tangible by means of case studies. Among other aspects, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures will be discussed.

Registration for the workshop takes place via our e-learning platform.
