On October 18, 2022, the university’s own Junior Researcher Academy held an event in the auditorium of the UMFST-UMCH Campus in Hamburg. The title of the event was “No Medical Advancement without Research – UMFST-UMCH: Strategy, Opportunity and Translational Impact”. Its purpose was to provide information on research opportunities for UMFST-UMCH students in pre-clinical and clinical settings.
For this purpose, some of the most renowned researchers of UMFST-UMCH as well as a PhD student who presented an ongoing research project came to speak.
The program was structured as follows:
Assoc. Prof. Peter Olah (UMFST Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Innovation)
Prof. Amelia Tero-Vescan (Vice-dean of the Faculty of Medicine in English)
Prof. Lucian Puscasiu (Director of the UMFST Doctoral School of Medicine and Pharmacy)
Importance and Potential Impact of Translational Research in Medicine
Prof. Mark Slevin (Scientific Director of the UMFST Research Center)
Ylenia Pastorello (PhD Student)
We are very excited about giving more and more research-minded students at the Hamburg campus the opportunity to help shape the future of the medical world via research.
