ReachHigher – Prof. Dr. Dragos Iliescu gives lecture on “Stress Management”

On October 20, 2021, a ReachHigher edition entitled “Educational Coaching” was held. It was held by Prof. Dr. Dragos Iliescu, who is a lecturer in Psychology at the University of Bucharest.

The lecture dealt, among other topics, with the effects of stress on the human organism – especially in the academic and medical context. But how does it arise in the first place? And how can we learn to deal with it in a better way, for example to prevent overwork and the resulting burnout? These and many other questions were answered by the renowned scientist and successful entrepreneur, who is, among other achievements, the founder of the leading platform for standardized psychological tests in Romania, during his presentation at ReachHigher. In addition to students from the different cohorts, several parents and other family members of the prospective medical students were also present and followed the lecture.

Following the event, participants were able to ask the professor their individual questions on the topic of stress. Among other subjects, he addressed how to deal with the high stress level as a physician in the field of Palliative Medicine.
