On January 27, 2022, the Hamburg campus hosted a ReachHigher issue with Prof. Mark Slevin, PhD. The Scientific Director of the Center for Advanced Medical and Pharmaceutical Research at UMFST and former faculty member at Manchester Metropolitan University spoke on the topic of “Translational Research”.
During the lecture, Prof. Slevin presented current research results from UMFST – including topics such as dementia, HIV and cancer therapy. He placed the respective research areas in the context of their actual practical application on patients. At the university in Targu Mures, for example, a new form of chemotherapy is being developed that has been able to multiply the life expectancy of dogs.
During the event, the attendees repeatedly asked questions. After his lecture, the renowned English scientist Prof. Slevin took the time to respond to the students’ questions and answer them in detail as well.
