Within the framework of the clinical-practical training for the teaching units in the field of Psychiatry, UMCH cooperates from now on with the LWL Clinic Hemer/Hans Prinzhorn Clinic.

The LWL Clinic Hemer/Hans Prinzhorn Clinic is a specialized facility for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics located near Dortmund. It is part of the PsychiatrieVerbund Westfalen (Westphalia Psychiatric Association), which treats more than 140,000 patients annually in over 100 facilities and has around 8,500 employees.

At the clinic in Hemer, a team of highly professional doctors and therapists looks after the well-being of the people entrusted to their care. Here, every effort is made to enable the patients to lead a predominantly symptom-free life. The mental illnesses to which the staff of the clinic in Hemer devote themselves include dependency and eating disorders, dementia and anxiety disorders, depression as well as personality disorders and post-traumatic stress disorders.
