The Municipal Hospital Eisenhüttenstadt near Frankfurt (Oder) is the newest UMFST-UMCH Teaching Hospital. This allows the facility to train UMCH medical students during their clinical phase from the third year. Under the guidance of experienced physicians, they will have the chance to gain their first practical knowledge of everyday clinical practice here.
As a standard care hospital, the Eisenhüttenstadt Municipal Hospital treats more than 11,000 patients each year. Following the mission statement “Healing – Caring – Helping – Regional – Modern – Networked”, the focus is on the continuous optimization and further development of the range of treatments. The hospital includes 7 clinics in the areas of anesthesia, intensive care and emergency medicine, pain therapy, internal medicine, psychiatry, psychosomatics and psychotherapy, gynecology and obstetrics, surgery, geriatrics, and pediatrics and adolescent medicine. In addition, patients receive both geriatric and psychiatric care at 5 other day clinics in Eisenhüttenstadt and surrounding locations.
Thus, a broad spectrum of medical departments is open to UMCH students at the Eisenhüttenstadt Municipal Hospital, which they can gain insights into during the practical study phases.
